Across Ages Mentor Program
Become a Mentor.
Become a Mentee.
The Across Ages Mentor Program pairs caring adults with youth to provide guidance, support, and positive role models. Through mentorship, the program fosters intergenerational relationships that help young people build confidence, develop life skills, and make healthy life choices.

Mentors
Take the First Step toward Helping Our Youth
Interested in learning more about our program and how you can help our youth thrive in your community through mentorship?
Enter your information and our Across Ages Program staff will contact you to explain the application process and how you can make a difference in a young person’s life.
Adult mentors, ages 55+, will be paired with a youth mentee, ages 9-13, for a 6-month period. Mentors will meet with their mentee 1-2 times a month where they will participate in recreational activities, relationship building exercises, and work on a community project together.
Adult mentors will receive 8 hours of training with COPE’s licensed clinical supervisors before meeting with their mentees for the first time. Mentors will also be required to complete mandated reporter training and fingerprinting/background check clearances ahead of meeting with their assigned mentee. Additionally, mentors will complete a pre-screening survey to assist in the pairing process. Mentors will be asked questions related to their hobbies, interests, career experiences and more.
