COPE 4 Kids Camp

Our Youth Advisory Group empowers young people to grow as leaders, give back to their community, and build skills that will support their future success.  Youth ages 10–14 are invited to join us for a fun and engaging week-long day camp where they will build leadership skills, explore issues important to young people, and participate in a community project in partnership with 333 Arts.

YAG Kids at COPE

COPE 4 Kids Campers will develop five key leadership skills:

    1. Self-Awareness
Campers will explore what issues matter most to them, identify their personal strengths, and learn to recognize their successes.
    2. Emotional Leadership
Kids will build emotional self-awareness and practice healthy coping skills for big feelings, including frustration and anger.
    3. Values-Based Decision Making
Campers will identify their top personal values and learn how those values can guide their choices, friendships, and goals.
    4. Goal Setting and Future Planning
Through a life-mapping activity, campers will imagine their future, set personal goals, and begin thinking about the steps needed to reach them.
    5. Community Engagement and Confidence Building
Kids will explore ways to get involved in their community, learn how to share their strengths, and practice beginning resume-building skills in an age-appropriate way.

At the end of the program, youth will work alongside an artist from 333 Arts to design and create a community mural that reflects the ideas, values, and issues that matter most to them. This special project gives young people a powerful opportunity to express their voices, showcase their creativity, and make a lasting impact in their community.
